Clara Agnew is a wedding florist and founder of Clara Agnew Floristry, which she established at the age of 19. She specialises in large-scale wedding designs across Northern Ireland and Ireland.
Clara began her career at 13, working in a flower shop, and went on to train at Greenmount College (Level 2 & 3). She was selected for Squad UK as part of the WorldSkills programme, training to competition level alongside leading international florists. She also spent seven weeks working in two flower shops in Germany, gaining experience across different styles and techniques.
Her work focuses on large installations and creating designs that feel personal and considered. She has received several awards through floristry competitions.
Her motto, “self-belief and hard work will always earn you success,” underpins both her business and career.
As a board member of the Institute of Flowers, Clara is focused on developing floristry education in Ireland, helping to raise standards across the industry, and working towards strengthening competition pathways to place Irish floristry on the international stage.
