Irish Floristry set to take centre stage at Bloom 2025

The Institute of Flowers, supported by Positive 2 Work Skillnet, calls on all flower-lovers and florists to upskill at its unique showcase in Pheonix Park from 29 May – 2 June. Whether you are a professional florist, a budding amateur, or you simply love a stunning display of beautiful blossoms, you are in for a real treat at Bloom 2025! For the first time, The Institute of Flowers, the representative body for the professional floristry industry in Ireland, is hosting a space dedicated to celebrating and upskilling in the art of floristry. Visitors to The Institute of Flowers beautiful display area, will have the opportunity to learn from a wealth of industry experts with a packed schedule of demonstrations by groups such as The Orchid Society and Hopeless Botanics, in addition to ‘Flower Hours’ covering everything from growing your own flowers, to creating stunning floral displays and the latest sustainability techniques.

Professional florists will also have the opportunity to win with the exciting ‘Wearable Floristry’ competition. Simply visit the stand wearing one of your own floral creations, perhaps a headpiece, an accessory, a dress or even a cloak, to be in with a chance to win €600 in vouchers for Van Der Plas Flowers & Plants, to further sweeten the glory of the win!

The competition, which is sure to turn more than a few heads at the event, will be judged by Lamber De Bie, Dutch Master Florist from Lamber De Bie Florists in Kilkenny and Waterford and Chair of the IOF; Adele Roche, Colour Psychologist and Design Consultant; and Maria Walsh, MEP and ambassador for the Institute of Flowers.
